Four-star big man Royce Parham commits to Marquette
Royce Parham, a four-star power forward in the 2024 class, has committed to Marquette, he told On3.
The 6-foot-9, 200-pound big man out of Pittsburgh (Pa.) North Hills ultimately chose the Golden Eagles over Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Xavier. He also received offers from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, and others.
Parham ranks as the No. 85 overall prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3). He’s also the nation’s No. 14 power forward and the No. 6 player in the state of Pennsylvania.

Parham on his commitment to Marquette
“I chose Marquette because I saw it as the best option,” Parham said. “I loved all the coaches, the facilities, and staff. I was really able to bond with the players and just loved the whole program.”
What type of player is Marquette getting in Royce Parham, in his own words?
“Marquette is getting an all-around player who is a hard worker and a great leader.”
Scouting Report
“Royce Parham has a big frame and a stand-out motor. What strikes you quickly is the purpose with which he runs the floor on both ends. He has excellent hands, both on the block or catching on the move. His touch, and confidence, extend beyond the three-point line, and he can put it on the floor for one and two dribbles. Parham is a good athlete with very natural and fluid movements. His frame also looks like it is not done growing. He comes from significant basketball genes as his mom is the career blocked shots leader at Penn State. Young for his grade, there is still time for him, and his ceiling is very high. Monitor his development closely; there are a lot of natural tools working in Parham’s favor.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
