Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy four-star offensive tackle Bryce Jenkins has committed to Maryland.

He chose the Terrapins over South Carolina, Tennessee and Rutgers.

Jenkins is the No. 265 overall prospect and No. 23 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in D.C.

On3 ranks Jenkins higher than other recruiting services. He checks in at No. 162 overall and No. 15 at the OT position in the 2025 On300 — though Jenkins is being recruited mainly as a defensive lineman at the next level.

The addition of Jenkins is a big one for head coach Mike Locksley and the Terps’ staff. The 6-foot-4.5, 335-pounder took his official visit to College Park on June 7 and is now the third blue-chipper in the class overall.

Following Jenkins’ commitment, Maryland now has 20 total pledges in its 2025 recruiting class — which ranks No. 35 in the nation and No. 10 in the Big Ten, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Baltimore Archbishop Spalding four-star quarterback Malik Washington committed on June 28 and is at the top of the class, checking in at No. 260 overall and No. 20 at the QB position, per the On3 Industry Ranking.

“Just the ability to be home and my relationship with Coach Locks,” Washington told On3 when asked what set Maryland apart.

The class also features On300 four-star running back Iverson Howard out of Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard. Howard is On3’s No. 24 RB and No. 9 player in the Free State this cycle.

Other top commits in Maryland’s class include Miami Edison three-star cornerback Jett White, Baltimore Maury three-star linebacker CJ Smith, Quincy (Fla.) Gadsden County three-star OT Lamar Williams, Baltimore Mergenthaler three-star wide receiver Justin Devaughn and Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic three-star running back Bud Coombs.
