Maryland’s Leron Husbands has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.

On3’s Pete Nakos reported his entry into the portal on Tuesday morning.

Husbands was a redshirt junior this season with the Terrapins. After seeing limited action thus far in his collegiate career in College Park, he did make some more appearances this year, including his first career start.

Still, Husbands leaves the Terp having recorded no statistics at tight end.

Husbands, a native of the nation’s capital, played high school football at Charles Herbert Flowers. He was a three-star prospect there in the 2021 cycle. In that class, he was the No. 1,170 overall player while being the No. 64 TE and No. 32 recruit from the state of Maryland. That was according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

With this, Husbands is now the No. 2 TE in what currently makes up On3’s 2025 College Football Top Transfer Portal Players.
