Memphis Basketball: Carl Cherenfant commits to Tigers, Penny Hardaway
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Calvary Christian four-star recruit Carl Cherenfant has committed to Memphis.
Cherenfant, a 6-foot-4 class of 2023 shooting guard, ultimately chose the Tigers over St. John’s and UCF. He also received offers from USF, LSU, Virginia Tech, among others.
The Florida native is Memphis’ second commitment to the 2023 class. He joins three-star guard Ryan Forrest.
Cherenfant is the No. 112 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 24 shooting guard and the No. 11 player in the state of Florida.
