Memphis Basketball: David Tubek commits to Tigers, Penny Hardaway

On3 Consensus three-star recruit David Tubek has committed to Memphis, becoming the third prospect to commit to Penny Hardaway within less the last 24 hours. Fellow class of 2023 recruits Mikey Williams (No. 22) and JJ Taylor (No. 53) both pledged to the Tigers on Saturday night.

The Glendale (Ariz.) Dream City Christian big man is also joinining four-star Carl Cherefant (No. 112) and three-star Ryan Forrest (No. 210), both of whom committed to to the Tigers last month.

Tubek, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward chose Memphis after visiting Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. He also received offers from Kansas, Texas, Rutgers, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Creighton, and others.

He ranks as the No. 265 overall prospect in the 2023 class.
