Ty-Laur Johnson schedules official visit to Memphis

Bronx (N.Y.) Our Saviour Lutheran School four-star recruit Ty-Laur Johnson will officially visit Memphis this weekend, October 22nd-23rd.
The Tigers receive the 6-foot-1 class of 2023 point guard’s fifth and final official visit. Johnson has also visited NC State, Fordham, Pittsburgh, and Ole Miss.
There is major significance to Johnson’s official visit to Memphis. Johnson played summer ball with the NY Rens EYBL program. The Executive Director of the team, Andy Borman, was recently hired as an assistant coach at the Univeristy of Memphis.

After extending a scholarship earlier this month, the Tigers are viewed as a heavy contender in Johnson’s recruitment.
Johnson ranks as the No. 66 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
