Miami WR Brashard Smith enters NCAA transfer portal
Miami wide receiver Brashard Smith entered the NCAA transfer portal. This comes on the heels of the Hurricanes’ season-ending loss to Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl.
Smith played three seasons with the Hurricanes. He set career highs in receptions and yards last year before a slight drop off this fall.
In total, Smith has 69 catches for 770 yards, four touchdowns and 11.2 yards per catch.
As a member of the Class of 2021, Smith was a four-star recruit out of Miami (Fla.) Palmetto, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 27 overall prospect in the state, the No. 28 wide receiver in the class and the No. 181 overall prospect in the class.
