The 5-foot-11, 160-pounder has made a myriad of trips to Coral Gables to visit Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes. Upon Ewald reopening his recruitment, the in-state program fought to grab momentum, continued to get him on campus and have now landed huis pledge.
“I had a good time,” Ewald said after a February Junior Day visit. “I spent time with the coaches, we built on our relationship and it was just a good visit. It is always good to get back and Miami is recruiting me hard. They make me feel wanted.”
