Miami offers Texas A&M EDGE transfer Tunmise Adeleye
Top pass rushers can be tough to find in the NCAA transfer portal, being one of the most vital positions in college football. Miami seemingly is after one of the top available, sending an offer out to former Texas A&M EDGE Tunmise Adeleye on Tuesday evening.
Adeleye only played in three games during his time in College Station, being a starter for the opening two games of the 2022 season. In total, the now-Miami offer recorded six tackles, three quarterback hurries, and 0.5 tackles for a loss. He will be a redshirt sophomore at his next school of choice.
Injuries played a factor into Adeleye not playing, missing a majority of this past year. Whoever is able to land him this offseason, whether it’s the Hurricanes or somebody else, he should be able to make an impact by getting to the quarterback.
Since Adeleye was officially placed in the portal, some top programs from across the country have extended an offer. Miami is the ninth, joining the likes of Arkansas, SMU, TCU, and USC.

SMU currently leads on the On3 transfer portal RPM, sitting at 17.4%. Cross-town rival TCU is not too far behind at 15.2%. Miami is now hoping to get involved in the party and bring a multi-year pass rusher into the program for year two of the Mario Cristobal era.
Adeleye played high school football at Katy (Texas) Tompkins, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 41 overall recruit and No. 3 EDGE in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Per the On3 transfer portal rankings, Adeleye is the No. 3 EDGE player available on the market. On the national scale, he ranks at No. 69.
