Miami has an amazing opportunity to make a splash with a bevy of top prospects in the 2025 class this weekend.

The Hurricanes are set to host a massive Junior Day — which now officially includes Pittsburg (Calif.) four-star safety Jadyn Hudson. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder confirmed on Saturday morning that he too will be in Coral Gables.

This is set to be Hudson’s first visit of 2024. Penn State, Oregon and USC received visits from the defensive back in 2023. Mario Cristobal and the Canes will look to properly get in the mix with a big weekend on-tap in the Sunshine State.

At the end of September, Hudson trimmed his list of top schools down to 10. Miami made the cut, as did Michigan, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, USC, Washington, Tennessee and LSU.

“A lot of greats came out of Miami and they do really well with the DBs,” Hudson told On3’s Hayes Fawcett upon naming his top schools.

Hudson is the No. 120 overall prospect and No. 12 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 11 player in California.

The four-star safety was in Eugene in September as he took in a game weekend at Oregon for the first time. The Ducks and the atmosphere did not disappoint.

“The game was great,” Hudson told ScoopDuck after the visit. “It was my first time experiencing a game in Eugene. The crowd was crazy they was lit all game long. I love the atmosphere there, and my relationships with the coaches is good and they show a lot of love. My parents went and they had a good time, my overall visit was good. I had a great time in Eugene.”

He then returned to USC toward the end of October. The in-state Trojans have been consistent in their push for Hudson and plan to have a hat on the table when the time comes for him to make his college decision.

“I’ve been talking with them. The relationship is great and I feel good about them overall,” Hudson said.

Throughout his recruitment, Hudson has picked up offers from around 20 Power Five programs. Schools that didn’t make the cut include Auburn, Oklahoma, Colorado and more. The pursuit of the Golden State product is only going to ramp up as eyes begin to turn toward the 2025 cycle.
