Jayden Wayne Scouting Summary
“Jumbo athlete who could project at EDGE or tight end at the college level,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Measured around 6-foot-5, 240 pounds prior to his senior season. Has good length, with a verified 6-foot-9 wing-span. The length shows up on defense, where he’s able to beat offensive tackles with a long arm move. Shows good body lean and ability to bend as a pass rusher. Makes plays against the run, but can continue adding functional strength.”
“Plays wide receiver for his high school, but would project as a tight end on offense. Quick out of his breaks and shows sudden movements within his routes. Shows the ability to adjust to low passes. Can improve his ankle flexion as a runner. Also plays basketball. Older for the class, turning 18-years-old during his junior season.”
Wayne ranks as the No. 36 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 5 edge and the top player in the state of Washington..
