Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic four-star athlete Emmett Mosley received an offer from Miami Friday. He announced the news on Twitter.

Mosley is the No. 240 overall prospect and No. 22 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 23 player in California.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Mosley holds 17 Power Five offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Notre Dame as the heavy favorite to land a commitment from Mosley at 97%.

Mosley is a Notre Dame legacy with both of his parents being former student-athletes in South Bend.

“I’m taking it slow,” Mosley told On3’s Chad Simmons in January. “I’m just trying to make sure I make the right decision. Next, maybe I’ll try to go to some of these junior days. Then after that, I don’t know exactly how I’m gonna officially cut my list down… but I will definitely take some official visits late in the spring, summer.”

Mosley has taken multiple trips to Notre Dame but Pac-12 schools like Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington will all likely factor into his recruitment according to what Mosley told Simmons.

However, since Marcus Freeman was named the head coach at Notre Dame, Mosley’s communication with the Fighting Irish has greatly increased.

“Since the change, I have talked a lot more with Notre Dame,” Mosley told Simmons. “I never really talked with Brian Kelly or much of the staff, but since coach Marcus Freeman took over, it has been a positive change.

“We talk a lot, I have bonded with the staff better and it is a big family environment. They started off a little slow during the season, but they really picked it up and finished strong. It looks like things are going in the right direction again at Notre Dame.”

Mosley currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $43K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
