Douglasville (Ga.) South Pauling offensive lineman Madden Sanker recently cut his list of schools to 10, and now he has locked in a third official visit for this summer.

On Saturday, Sanker announced that he will trip to Miami June 23-26, which comes on the heels of trips to Michigan State (June 3) and Louisville (June 17).

With those three scheduled, he has two more available, with one likely expected to go to Georgia. Ole Miss, Michigan State, and Rutgers are contenders for the final one. Sanker was on a number of campuses this spring, and felt like those visits helped in narrow his focus.

“I’ve seen a lot of places now, this spring was what I was really waiting for,” Madden Sanker told On3’s Jeremy Johnson. “I can tell the schools that are really interested in me and I show interest back. I think now was the best time for me to cut it down.”

Sanker is the No. 116 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 8 interior lineman and the No. 9 junior in Georgia.

What factors shaped Madden Sanker’s top 10?

Sanker’s top 10 is diverse. Georgia is still high up, but new programs have begun to make strong cases. Sanker is sifting through some solid options and factors with the new, narrowed lens of focus.

Sanker has a few intriguing points he’s considering with a smaller group within his top 10.

Georgia: “Georgia has always been a top school for me since they offered me. I’m a big fan of their program and what they’re doing over there… They’re definitely still in that top five or top six area. They’re a great school and they showed that this year when they won the natty. Coach (Kirby) Smart knows how to run a program well… As long as coach Smart is there, I think he’s going to get the right guy in there no matter who comes and goes. He did that with the hire of coach Stacy Searels… I respected him as a coach at UNC.”

Ole Miss: “They’re electric on offense and they put up points. I love the coaches over there and what they’re doing.”

Louisville: “Louisville has been a school that has jumped toward the top of the list because of their fan base and their coaching staff. They say it’s family over there and it really is.”

Michigan State: “I loved every second I was there.”

Miami: “It’s a great school. I love the coaching staff over there. They recently moved from Oregon. They were recruiting me over there. I was falling in love with them and it’s followed them over there now that they’re closer now.”

Rutgers: “They were a surprise for some people. They’ve been recruiting me hard. I’m originally from New York. It’s not too far from where I grew up. They have a great school and they have a great program building over there.”
