4-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss locks in Miami visit
Miami Gardens (Fla.) American Heritage wide receiver Brandon Inniss has been trending toward USC lately, but he is still very much in the midst of the recruiting process. He still has visits to take this spring and doesn’t look to be close to a commitment any time soon. One of those visits will come next weekend, when the four-star heads about 40 miles south to visit Miami.
Inniss tweeted on Thursday morning that he will trip to see the Hurricanes a week from today, marking his eighth known visit to the school.
He is the No. 28 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 7 junior prospect in the Sunshine State.
USC leading for Brandon Inniss, but others not out of it yet
Inniss tripped across the country last weekend to USC, where the Trojans continued to make an impression on the one-time Oklahoma commit. New USC head coach Lincoln Riley has already flipped Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson and four-star wide receiver Makai Lemon from the Sooners. And he’s working to do the same with Inniss and DeAndre Moore Jr.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), it’s working. The Trojans hold an 80.2 percent chance of securing Inniss’ commitment. Miami trails behind at 9.5 percent.
On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons wrote yesterday that while confidence is growing for USC, Miami and Ohio State are still very much in the thick of things.
“Miami is always going to be in this. It is the hometown school, and Mario Cristobal is making Inniss a personal target,” Simmons said. “But the school challenging USC the most right now is Ohio State. Ryan Day and Brian Hartline are involved with Inniss and he will be in Columbus April 1-3. The Buckeyes are a serious contender as well.”
