One of the key players in Miami’s win over Duke on Monday night was Jordan Miller. It was a game that the Hurricanes jumped out to a big lead and never let go.

According to Miller, Miami was able to control runs in this game, which helped the Hurricanes close out at the end.

“We struggled to close games out,” Jordan Miller said.

“So, that’s been our fuel to our fire. We know every team we play is a great team. Basketball is a game of runs and we just want to stay solid defensively, stay solid offensively, and just kind of maintain that lead the whole time like we did.”

Jordan Miller played 32 minutes in the win over Duke. He had 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists as one of the game’s key performers.

“So, I’m proud of the guys, the way we held out to finish this game.”

Miami’s next game is against a desperate Louisville team on Saturday.

Jordan Miller praised Wooga Poplar

After the huge win over Duke, Jordan Miller also praised Wooga Poplar, who has made a huge leap in just his sophomore season.

“I think we’ve all said it: Wooga’s gonna be a great player,” Miller said.

“He’s only a sophomore. He didn’t get to log a ton of minutes last year. So this is really his first year. I think just the way he’s been able to elevate his game throughout this season just shows a lot of promise. It’s gonna be scary when the game continues to slow down for him this year, next year and the years to come. I think he’s going to be a primary player for Miami in the next couple of seasons.”
