Gainesville (Fla.) F. W. Buchholz four-star defensive lineman Kendall Jackson will be taking an official visit to Miami from June 23-25. He announced the news over Twitter on Thursday night.
Jackson is the No. 504 overall prospect and No. 42 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 70 player in Florida and a three-star recruit.
On3 rates Jackson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, Jackson is a four-star recruit, the No. 27 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 45 player in Florida.
“They’re just doing wellness check-ins with me and my family,” Jackson told Stephen Wagner of CaneSport on Feb. 14. “They ask how me and my family are doing, ask how I’m doing, check up on me because I recently just got done with a surgery and I’m in the process of doing rehab. The coaches check up on me, plus they take time out of their day to help me with stuff like watch film or help me with any problems I have.”
“I wanna learn more about the program and the school,” he added. “I feel like I really don’t know much about them yet, the program and the school yet. I’ve wanted to go down for just a little fun day. I just want to get to know how their system works and where they see me at in their defense. Basically, how is the school, how are the academics (too).”

“Just speaking with coach (Joe Salave’a), it’s obviously (Miami is) still high on Kendall,” Buchholz head coach Chuck Bell told Wagner on April 26. “He’s one of their top targets. I think they like the versatility he provides and we’ve been able to help him add to his game.”
