LSU Tigers transfer wide receiver CJ Daniels is taking his talents to South Beach, joining the Miami Hurricanes via the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported the news.

All told, Daniels spent just one season at LSU, where he fell short of his career highs. He finished the 2024 season with 42 catches for 480 yards and 11.4 yards per catch.

Miami will be the third school of his college career, and he’ll be looking to reach the top of the mountain with the Hurricanes. He started his football career at Liberty.

Overall, Daniels has 148 catches for 2,439 yards, 21 touchdowns and 16.5 yards per catch in his collegiate career.

As a member of the Class of 2020, Daniels was a three-star recruit out of Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 226 overall prospect in the state, the No. 353 wide receiver in the class and the No. 2,398 overall prospect in the class.

Last season, Miami put up a tremendous fight, especially on offense. Their defense ended up being their undoing, as they fell short of the College Football Playoff. They’re hoping the addition of CJ Baxter helps them in their quest of getting to the next level in 2025.
