Luther Campbell, AKA “Uncle Luke”, is ready for the Miami Hurricanes to replace Manny Diaz. The rapper tweeted Saturday following a 38-17 Hurricanes loss to Michigan State that he wants Lane Kiffin as the head man.

Kiffin, the current coach at Ole Miss, has 10 years of coaching experience. Diaz is in his third season as the Hurricanes coach and has compiled a 26-15 record during that span.

The loss dropped Miami to 1-2 this season and it is sure to fall out of the polls next week. The Hurricanes have not won a bowl game since 2016.

Miami committed four turnovers in the loss, including two interceptions from quarterback D’Eriq King. Meanwhile, the Spartans offense had no trouble moving the ball against this defense and made few mistakes.

The Hurricanes took an early 7-3 lead in the second quarter, but that would be their last. Michigan State scored right before halftime to take a 10-7 advantage and never trailed again.

The game stayed close until the fourth quarter, which began with the Spartans leading 17-14. The Hurricanes turned it over twice in the second half and were outscored 21-3 in the final quarter.

King finished with 388 yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to receiver Charleston Rambo. The Oklahoma transfer was one of the lone bright spots in the loss, hauling in 12 catches for 156 yards.

Should the Hurricanes choose to part ways with Diaz, they would be on their fourth head coach in the past 11 years. A trip to the Orange Bowl in 2017 is their lone New Year’s Six appearance in the past 15 seasons. They lost 34-24 to Wisconsin.

Miami will have an opportunity to rebound next week against Central Connecticut State at 12:30 p.m. ET in Miami. After that, they open ACC play against Virginia.

Unless they can find a way to turn their season around, we could hear Luther Campbell continue to call for Manny Diaz to be let go.
