Miami Football: ESPN releases game-by-game predictions for every Hurricanes game in 2022
Last season was an up and down campaign for the Miami Hurricanes, as they ultimately finished the year 7-5 overall and 5-3 against ACC opponents. With a new energy surrounding the program after the hire of new head coach Mario Cristobal, Miami hopes to leap back into contention in 2022.
Miami has a lot of momentum entering the 2022 campaign, and a lot of that is due to star quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. Van Dyke took over early in the year, and he never looked back as he established himself as one of the top signal callers in the entire nation.
Now, Miami hopes to take the momentum it is entering the 2022 season with and translate that into true success on the field. Cristobal and the Hurricanes want to finish at the top of the ACC, and there is a realistic path for them to do just that.
ESPN recently released game-by-game predictions for each game on Miami’s schedule in 2022, using its Football Power Index (FPI) tool. Here is a look at how ESPN sees each game shaking out for Miami.

If ESPN’s FPI predictions hold true, Miami would finish the year with an overall record of 10-2, including a 7-1 clip against ACC opponents. That finish would surely have Miami competing for the ACC Coastal Division crown. ESPN also predicted a close battle between Miami and Texas A&M in Week 3, and if the Hurricanes could pull out a win there, they could be in an even better position when it’s all said and done.
