Edgerrin James, a Miami football legend and NFL Hall of Famer, now has a warrant out for his arrest for not showing up to a scheduled court date in connection with a business dispute arising from One Cigar Lounge in Atlanta.

On February 17, Judge Rachel Krause issued a court order that required James to appear in court March 3 to give his side of the story regarding his previous failure to comply with a order to provide responses to “discovery requests” filed following the issuance of a judgment in the case. She previously issued James a fine of $1,000 per day for James’s ongoing failure to comply.

“To date, nearly 140 days has passed and Defendant has not complied with the Court’s order,” the February 17 order states. This translates to fines of roughly $140,000 — two weeks ago.

James, per a source with knowledge of the situation, indeed did not appear to his court date Thursday, meaning that he’s now facing an arrest due to not showing up. The reason why he continuously fails to comply with court orders is unknown and he has not made a public statement on the matter.

Wright spent the last three years at UTSA, starting as defensive line coach in 2019 before adding run game coordinator to his title in 2020 and co-defensive coordinator in 2021. He also worked as the defensive line coach at East Carolina and Sam Houston State during his coaching career.

At Texas, Wright earned First Team All-Big 12 honors and was a Consensus All-American on the Longhorns’ defensive line in 2005. He had 46 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks that season.

Cristobal’s staff is coming together nicely as he gets ready for his first season as the head coach at his alma mater.
