Miami offers On300 Louisville EDGE commit Adonijah Green
Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove EDGE Adonijah Green was Louisville’s first commitment in the 2023 class all the way back in December. Since then, a number of program have come calling, looking to flip him. The latest is Miami, which extended him an offer on Thursday afternoon.
Green is the No. 403 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 38 EDGE and the No. 38 junior in the state of Georgia.
The Industry Comparison shows On3 is quite a bit higher on him than the other three major recruiting sites, though. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the nation’s No. 172 prospect, No. 19 EDGE and No. 16 player in the Peach State.
“Adonjiah Green has one of the more unique builds among EDGE prospects nationally,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote recently. “The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder is extremely long, with a 7-foot-1 wing-span. Green recently put that length on display at the Under Armour Next Atlanta camp. The Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove product was among the better pass rushers on hand and also turned in a good junior season. There’s no question he’ll need to continue bulking up at the next level, but Green’s athleticism, length and young age for the class make for a high-upside prospect.”
A number of schools want Adonijah Green
Along with the Hurricanes, Arkansas, Michigan, Tennessee North Carolina and Ole Miss have all offered Green since his pledge to the Cardinals.

He told On3’s OMSpirit in February that he was being recruited the hardest by Louisville, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Boston College. He visited the Rebels multiple times since the beginning of March, and also tripped to Nebraska last month.
“I’m going to take the time to try and reevaluate my situation to see if there are any other options that are best for me,” he said. “I love how Louisville’s been honest and up-front. That’s something that, if you could do that, I feel like that will take you a long way and build trust. People want to play for people they trust in.”
Recently, Michigan and Missouri have both turned up their interest in him. And he told The Wolverine’s Marshall Levenson that he is committed but not completely locked in with the Cardinals.
