Miami OL Antonio Tripp Jr. plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Miami OL Antonio Tripp Jr. plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Tripp Jr. announced his intent to enter the portal in a post on social media on Friday. He will do so with three years of collegiate eligibility remaining after utilizing his redshirt.
“After much thought and prayer, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with Three years of eligibility,” Tripp Jr. tweeted this afternoon. “Tremendous amount of love and respect for everyone at Miami! This has been a great opportunity and experience for the past 2 years.”
Tripp Jr. saw very little action on the offensive line through a pair of seasons at The ‘U.
Tripp Jr., a native of Owings Mills, Maryland, transferred to play high school football at IMG Academy. He was the No. 769 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in the 2023 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-75 IOL in the class and a Top-125 player out of the state of Florida.
