Miami running back Damien Martinez will enter the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced Monday via X. Martinez spent one season with the Hurricanes after transferring from Oregon State.

The running back went on to rush for 1,002 yards and 10 touchdowns in his lone season at Miami. He will now look to find his fit at the next level and carry over that success into the NFL.

Martinez played two seasons for the Beavers and was named first team All-Pac-12 both years. He totaled 2,167 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns.

As a recruit, he was a four-star prospect out of Lewisville (TX) High School in the 2022 class. He ranked as the No. 609 overall player and No. 42 running back in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Martinez had an extra year of eligibility to use if he wanted, but it appears his sights are already set on the next level. The 2025 NFL Draft is set to begin April 24.
