Miami running back Ajay Allen plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Miami running back Ajay Allen is planning to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Allen appeared in eight games this season. He had 24 carries for 183 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 7.6 yards per rush.

Ajay Allen just wrapped up his redshirt sophomore season with the Hurricanes. He was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 28 running back in the country in the class of 2022, per the On3 Industry rankings.

Allen spent his freshman season at Nebraska, playing in the first four games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury. He rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries that season.

Ajay Allen transferred to Miami ahead of the 2023 season. He played in eight games, making one start that year. Allen ranked fourth on team with 350 rushing yards on 67 carries in 2023. He is now entering the transfer portal for the second time.

Miami DB Myles Mooyoung enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

In addition to Ajay Allen, Miami defensive back Myles Mooyoung also entered the portal on Monday. Mooyoung posted the news on Twitter and released a statement.

“First and foremost, I wold like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love and my family for their unwavering love and support. Thank you to the University of Miami for allowing me to fulfill a lifelong dram and goal of mine to be a Miami Hurricanes. I am grateful for my time here and am appreciative for the opportunity to grow academically and athletically,” wrote Mooyoung. “I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire coaching staff for developing me on and off the field. To my teammates, I have the most respect and love for you all. You guys truly made this experience special. The bonds we have build and our brotherhood will last forever.”

“With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal with one year of eligibility,” Mooyoung wrote. “Thank you for everything.”
