LOOK: Miami serving insane milkshake at college baseball regional this weekend
The Mark Light Shake has been a staple at Miami Hurricanes baseball games for several years, with the different types of milkshakes often paying tribute to their different opponents. This weekend since the Hurricanes are hosting a regional in the 2022 NCAA Tournament for college baseball, Mark Light dared to go where no culinary creation has gone before for Canisius. The official name of the beverage is the Canisius Buffalo Wing. Light released images of the special shake and it’s been making waves on Twitter.
Once you see what’s in it, you’ll understand why.
A vanilla milkshake with celery, carrots, buffalo wings, and your choice of ranch or blue cheese? It sounds like a bunch of young toddlers must have hijacked the keyboards and been begging for this creation. The folks at Mark Light certainly get credit for the creativity, because it HAS to be the first time anyone has ever tried to mix buffalo wings in a vanilla milkshake. But there’s also a reason for that. It’s hard to imagine it tasting good at all. That might be the grossest milkshake creation of all-time.
Some of the other flavors for the other teams in the Miami Regional seem way more appetizing. Here’s a picture of the milkshake the company created for the Ole Miss Rebels. It’s titled, the Ole Miss Hotty Toddy. The ingredients are vanilla, cinnamon, and bourbon flavor.
Check that one out here.
For Arizona, while there wasn’t a picture of it, Light decided to whip up the Arizona Prickly Pear. That one has vanilla and margarita flavor. Once again, a much better choice of a beverage than the buffalo wing/vanilla milkshake combination above.

If fans are going to enjoy their milkshakes this weekend, they’re likely gonna have to enjoy them with the elements. Severe thunderstorms and 30-mph wind gusts are projected for the Coral Gables Regional between No. 6 Miami and No. 4 regional seed, the Canisius Golden Griffins. That game was originally slated for noon. It has been moved up to 10 AM on ESPN+.
After the No. 6 seed Miami Hurricanes finish their opening round of the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament, the No. 2 seed Arizona Wildcats (37-23) will play the No. 3 seed Ole Miss Rebels 55 minutes later. That contest was originally slated for 7 PM EST on Friday, but it was moved up due to the impending weather. The tournament is double-elimination.
It’s been six years since the Miami Hurricanes have hosted a regional and six years since they have advanced to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
