Former Stetson guard Jalen Blackmon will officially join Jim Larrañaga and the University of Miami for the 2024-2025 campaign after withdrawing his name from the 2024 NBA Draft, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

“Jalen Blackmon tells me that he has withdrawn from the 2024 NBA Draft and will play for Miami next season,” Rothstein posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Transfer from Stetson.”

The 6-foot-3 junior from Marion, Indiana ultimately chose the Hurricanes over Northwestern, but also considered BYU, Cal, and Villanova while keeping his name in the 2024 NBA Draft, per On3’s Joe Tipton. Now, he’ll officially look to start his time with Miami, and bring the Hurricanes some major success next season.

Jalen Blackmon was the nation’s tenth leading scorer this past season, averaging 21.3 points per game, and shooting 42.8% from the field and just over 38% from three.

Pack posted a graphic of him dribbling a basketball with the words “Pack is Back” splashed onto it.

The talented Miami junior averaged 13.3 points, 3.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds this season while playing in 25 games. He was not healthy and available the entire season, contributing to some of the Hurricanes’ struggles.

Pack has played at Miami for the past two seasons after becoming one of the first high-profile transfers of the NIL era back in 2022. He spent the first two years of his career at Kansas State, where he made a name for himself as an elite scorer.

As a second-year player with the Wildcats in 2021-22, Pack averaged a career-high 17.4 points, 3.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds. He was deadly, becoming one of the top targets on the transfer market when he entered the portal. Miami won out for his services, with Pack reportedly securing a large NIL deal in the process.

Pack then went on to help Miami reach the Final Four in his first season with the program. He averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game on the run deep into March. During his career Nijel Pack is a 40.5% career 3-point shooter, a deadeye from beyond the arc.
