On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Miami trending for 4-star WR Ny Carr
Mario Cristobal and his staff at Miami have put together the third-best class in the ACC and currently hold a top-20 group nationwide. That class holds commitments from eight blue-chip recruits and continues to rise in the rankings as the cycle goes on.
Now, the Hurricanes look to take advantage of Georgia losing a top-100 commit in the 2024 cycle.
Miami is the new leader in the recruitment of Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star wide receiver Ny Carr, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons logged an expert prediction in favor of the ‘Canes on Wednesday with a 60% confidence level. With that intel, Miami jumped out to a commanding lead in the RPM with an 83.4% chance of landing Carr’s commitment.
Carr decommitted from Georgia in late September after initially committing to the Bulldogs in July 2022. Now, Miami is making its move. Carr will visit Miami this weekend as the ‘Canes take on Georgia Tech.

“Miami is at the top right now,” Carr told CaneSport. “They spread the ball very well, and they’re doing amazing on offense this year. It’s kind of hard to look past it.”
Miami in good position in Carr’s recruitment
Carr is the No. 62 overall prospect and No. 12 wideout in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 11 player in Georgia.
“I really, really like where Miami stands with this one,” CaneSport recruiting insider Izubee Charles said. “Miami was quick to send a coach up there Monday following his decommitment on Sunday … after speaking with his head coach up at Colquitt County he said the visit went extremely well, he said Carr backed off his commitment from Georgia because he wanted to see what else was out there … wanted to find a better fit for him on and off the field, and I think that could be Miami.”
Ny Carr Scouting Summary
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about Carr as a prospect:
“Fluid route-runner who wins with ball tracking and creating yards after the catch. Shows excellent body control and balance in his route running and at the catch point. Solid production as a sophomore with 40 catches for 856 yards and 13 touchdowns for one of the top high school programs in Georgia. Three-sport athlete that jumped a 5’10” high jump in 2021 who also plays basketball. All-around skill set for the position who will continue to improve as he physically develops into his frame.”
