Seven McGee

The Miami Hurricanes are looking to find a way to bounce back on the offensive side of the ball in 2023. Part of that is bringing in skills players who can spark the offense. One option there is Seven McGee, an Oregon wide receiver.

Seven McGee was recruited to Oregon by Mario Cristobal, the current Miami head coach. So, there is already a connection there. On top of that, he already entered his name into the NCAA Transfer portal.

Now, Seven McGee took to Twitter, where he announced he would be visiting Miami this weekend.

It makes sense that there would be mutual interest for both sides here. Not only are they familiar, but Miami is going to offer an opportunity to play early in his time there. For the Hurricanes, Seven McGee could be one of the pieces that they’re missing offensively as Mario Cristobal tries to rebuild the program.

In his two seasons with the Ducks, Seven McGee played in 15 games. In those games, he averaged 8.4 yards per catch on 18 catches. He also had 17 carries for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Seven McGee was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2021 and the No. 175 overall recruit in the class, according to the On3 Consensus. However, McGee is an undersized player who has played as a kind of hybrid running back and wide receiver. This means you need to be creative to use him effectively.

In the transfer process, it’s smart to weigh all of your options thoroughly. That’s exactly what Seven McGee is going to do. It starts with this visit to Miami.
