4-star LB Qua Birdsong sets Miami visit
Lagrange (Ga.) Troup County four-star linebacker Qua Birdsong is visiting Miami on April 6. He announced the news Monday night after receiving an offer from the Hurricanes.
Birdsong is the No. 128 overall prospect and No. 12 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 25 player in Georgia.
On3 rates Birdsong higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 10 linebacker in the country and the No. 18 player in Georgia.
The 6-foot-2.5, 180-pound defender holds 19 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Georgia Tech has a close lead for his commitment at 40.6%.
Birdsong told On3’s Jeremy Johnson that he is visiting Florida on March 18 and Ohio State from March 25-27.

USC is another school of interest for the four-star defender. He told Scott Schrader of WeAreSC that he plans to take an official visit to the Trojans.

“I watched USC a little last season and they did kind of struggle on defense,” Birdsong said. “But that’s why they need players like me to come in. Coach (Brian) Odom likes my speed, my length, how I rush the passer and how passionate I am for the game.
“The coaches tell me it’s a completely different part of the world out there and I’m looking forward to seeing it. I’ve never been anywhere near the West Coast before.”
