Report: Tyler Van Dyke, Henry Parrish OUT for Miami's game against Georgia Tech
Bad news for the Miami Hurricanes. According to reports on Saturday morning, two prominent ‘Canes players will miss today’s game against Georgia Tech.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke will not suit up today for Miami due to a shoulder injury he’s been dealing with since the Duke game. He left that game in the middle of it following a sack where he landed on said shoulder. Then, last week he gave it a go but had to come out again. Now, this week, the situation has only gotten worse and he’s out.
Here was the initial report from Thamel, which he posted on Twitter:
“Sources: Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke is out today against Georgia Tech with a shoulder injury. The injury has lingered, as he left the FSU game last week with the injury and missed Miami’s game against Virginia.”
That wasn’t the end of the bad news. Miami reporter Adam Lichtenstein added that the Hurricanes would also be without a crucial member of their backfield against the Yellow Jackets. Here was his report, which revealed that running back Henry Parrish also won’t play today:

“Hurricanes leading running back Henry Parrish Jr. is out for today’s game against Georgia Tech, a source told the Sun Sentinel. Parrish has 569 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season.”
Huge setbacks for Miami ahead of a huge opportunity concerning their quest for bowl eligibility in Mario Cristobal’s first season. Luckily, if you’re going to have some injuries, the GT game is the perfect time. Easily the worst team in a bad ACC this year. ‘Canes should still roll in this one.
