2024 top-150 S Jacob Oden visiting Michigan State this weekend
Harper Woods (Mich.) four-star safety Jacob Oden is visiting Michigan State on Saturday for the Spartans’ game against Minnesota. It will mark his third visit to East Lansing.
Oden is the No. 146 overall prospect and No. 13 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Michigan.
The 6-foot-0.5, 185 pound defensive back has received 25 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Michigan has a commanding lead for his commitment at 88.9%. The Wolverines have received seven visits from Oden, most recently on Sept. 3.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

Michigan State currently has one member of its 2024 recruiting class. River Rouge (Mich.) four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh, the No. 69 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus, committed to the Spartans on July 31.
Oden has an On3 NIL Valuation of $67K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
