On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: New leader for 5-star DL David Stone
Oklahoma City (Okla.) IMG Academy five-star defensive lineman David Stone returned to Michigan State for his second visit in two weeks with the Spartans on Saturday.
Head coach Mel Tucker and Co. have made Stone arguably their top target in the junior class, and according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), it’s now paying off. After expert picks in the week from On3’s Sam Spiegelman and Chad Simmons, the Spartans have overtaken Oklahoma and now hold a slight lead in the race to land him.
The RPM gives the Spartans a 52.2 percent chance of securing his commitment.
“OU is like the place where I’m from, but Michigan State feels like home if that makes sense,” he told Simmons this weekend after his visit. “I’d say Michigan State and Ohio State are pretty close, same with OU. Out of those three schools, I could end up anywhere.”
