Georgia Tech defensive lineman D'Quan Douse commits to transfer to Michigan State
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defensive lineman D’Quan Douse has committed to transfer to the Michigan State Spartans, he announced Tuesday via social media.
Douse has spent five seasons in the Georgia Tech program. During that time, the Yellow Jackets have had two head coaches, including the entire Geoff Collins tenure. Most recently, Georgia Tech went 7-6 and won the Gasparilla Bowl under Brent Key. He redshirted during the 2019 season and retained his eligibility from 2020, giving him a sixth season in 2024.
Over the last two seasons, Douse started 20 games on the Georgia Tech defensive line. In total, Douse played in 31 games over four seasons for the Yellow Jackets. He has 69 total tackles, 8.5 of which were for a loss, and 5.5 sacks on his career. He’s also forced three fumbles.
D’Quan Douse played high school football at Calvary Day School (GA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,499 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
