LOOK: 2024 top-20 DL David Stone on visit to Michigan State
Oklahoma City (Okla.) IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman David Stone is on hand at Spartan Stadium today. The 6-foot-4, 270 pound prospect is visiting Michigan State for the Spartans’ game against Wisconsin.
Stone is the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 2 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He posted a photo with the caption “Home #Go Green” this afternoon.
The Oklahoma native is making his second overall visit to East Lansing and first since July 30. He previously expressed high praise of Michigan State to On3’s Gerry Hamilton.
“With everyone on the staff, I feel like it’s just about good relationships at this point,” Stone told Hamilton. “I feel comfortable with them. When I went down there, it just felt like all love, all the time. … I have Jordan Hall going there, Bai Jobe, which is someone I’m pretty familiar with, and everyone else, we’re just trying to see if we can get everyone going there.”
Stone currently holds 19 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Oklahoma has a commanding lead for Stone’s commitment at 97.3%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Michigan State currently has two commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. They are River Rouge (Mich.) four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh and Hialeah (Fla.) Westland Hialeah four-star cornerback Jamari Howard.
Stone has an On3 NIL Valuation of $126K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
