Ohio State has one of the best offenses in the country. In large part, that’s because the Buckeyes have a balanced offensive approach. Mel Tucker knows that stopping Ohio State is going to be an incredibly difficult challenge for his Michigan State Spartans.
During a press conference, Mel Tucker was asked about CJ Stroud, the Ohio State weapons, and the challenge they present offensively. Tucker immediately brought up their balance as a unit.
“The challenge is that they’re very balanced,” Mel Tucker said. “So, they’re extraordinary in the run game and also in the pass game.”

Mel Tucker explained how Michigan State can beat Ohio State
Not many people are giving Mel Tucker and Michigan State much of a chance to beat Ohio State. After all, the Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the country, while the Spartans have struggled to recapture the magic from 2021. Still, Tucker thinks Michigan State can win.
“Yeah, you have to — first of all you have to believe,” Mel Tucker said. “That’s one. And you have to strip the name of the jersey. And go to work. Preparation. And go and play the next play. Doing it again. Taking it from the meeting room, to the practice, doing it so many times right in practice where you can’t get it wrong in a game.”
