Michigan State DL Ken Talley plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal

Michigan State DL Ken Talley has announced his intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Talley made that announcement with a post of a graphic on social media on Tuesday. With that, he will spend his fourth and fifth years of remaining collegiate eligibility elsewhere.
“Spartan Dawg 4 Life,” Talley captioned the post.
“First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to Mel Tucker and Michigan State University for giving me the incredible opportunity to be part of such a prestigious program and institution,” wrote Tally. “That being said, I’ve decided it’s time to take my talents elsewhere and make the most of the two years of eligibility I have remaining. Thank you, Sparty Nation, for your unwavering support and love. I will always be proud to call myself a Spartan Dawg.”
After a short stint at Penn State, Talley transferred to Michigan State where he has spent the past three seasons. He redshirted that first year but has appeared on the defensive line in each of last two seasons for the Spartans.

In total, Talley tallied 11 tackles and 1.5 sacks while in East Lansing.
Talley, a Philadelphia native, played high school football at Northeast. He was the No. 353 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-40 DE the No. 11 player out of Pennsylvania.
Now, with two years of eligibility left, Talley will be headed elsewhere in the transfer portal.
