Michigan State lands transfer commitment from Wisconsin linebacker Jordan Turner
Former Wisconsin linebacker Jordan Turner will transfer to play for Michigan State in 2024, he announced on Monday. Turner spent the past four seasons playing with the Badgers and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-1 linebacker was a starter for Wisconsin over the past two seasons. He recorded a combined 129 tackles (11.5 for loss), five sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception in that span.
Turner earned All-Big Ten honorable mention honors in 2022 but did not make the team this past season. He still managed to help the Badgers to a 7-5 record and to rank sixth in the Big Ten in scoring defense.
As a recruit, Turner was a three-star prospect out of Farmington High School in Farmington, Michigan. He ranked as the No. 615 overall player and No. 65 linebacker in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Jordan Turner ranks as the No. 232 overall player in On3’s Transfer Portal Rankings.
