Michigan State LB Jacoby Windmon enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Michigan State Spartans linebacker Jacoby Windmon has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Jacoby Windmon played high school football at John Ehret (LA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1941 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Prior to joining Michigan State, Windmon made his name known with the UNLV Rebels, where he excelled on their defense.
“Jacoby Windmon has played all over the football field. He played quarterback, wide receiver, tight end and defensive line in high school for New Orleans John Ehret,” Windmon’s On3 profile reads. “When he early enrolled at UNLV in 2019, he expected to play on offense but played 12 games on the defensive line as a freshman. Then he played outside linebacker as a sophomore. Windmon broke out nationally as a junior as a middle linebacker with 118 total tackles. He then transferred to Michigan State.
“He is the son of Iriemme Windmon and Terrance Dumas. Windmon is majoring in human development and family services at Michigan State. He was previously majoring in human services at UNLV.”
