WATCH: Michigan State releases custom uniforms for Purdue matchup
Fresh off being ranked No. 3 in the first College Football Playoff Top 25 of the season, Michigan State is going to be fresh on the field Saturday for its Big Ten road game at Purdue.
The Spartans, who are undefeated at 8-0 on the season and would be one of the four teams in the CFP if it began today, will be rocking a new uniform combo this weekend, according to a video released Thursday on the team’s Twitter account.
As can be seen in the video, Michigan State will be wearing all-white for its matchup with the Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana, which is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
Saturday will mark the first meeting between Michigan State and Purdue since Oct. 27, 2018 – a 23-13 win for the Spartans, who lead the all-time series 37-27-3 over the Boilermakers.
Paul Finebaum on Mel Tucker: Michigan State AD faces uphill battle

With huge job openings like LSU and USC available, Finebaum recognizes that the market for Tucker will be robust. Luckily for the Michigan State head coach, Finebaum notes that Tucker’s stock is through the roof following Saturday’s victory.
“Two, three weeks ago a lot of people were like ‘what are you talking about’ when his name came up for the LSU job. Well, he was on full display yesterday,” stated Finebaum on The ESPN College Football Podcast. “Mel Tucker’s agent just has to be beaming this morning .. his stock just went through the roof.
“Now, the relatively new AD at Michigan State has to be thinking ‘I’ve got to figure out a way to keep him.’ This isn’t just some outlier story. It was really remarkable to watch, it was fun to watch.”
