Texas A&M cornerback transfer Tony Grimes visiting Michigan State

Texas A&M cornerback Tony Grimes shared Saturday that he is on an official visit at Michigan State, posting the news on Twitter.

Grimes has previously visited Penn State as he considers his next move after entering the NCAA transfer portal following the 2023 season.

The former Aggies defender didn’t see time in 2023 after transferring in from North Carolina.

In total during his college career Grimes has 97 tackles, 74 solo tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble.

As a member of the Class of 2020, Grimes was a five-star recruit out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Princess Anne, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 1 prospect in the state, the No. 3 cornerback in the class and the No. 19 overall prospect in the class.
