WATCH: Michigan State unveils new uniform combination for Michigan game
Michigan State is going for an all-green look when Michigan comes to town on Saturday.
The team’s official Twitter account released a combination of a hype video and uniform reveal on Thursday. Senior safety Xavier Henderson served as a model to show off the dark green jerseys and pants. The monochromatic uniforms will also feature the Spartan decal on dark green helmets. The word relentless is written across the back of the helmet just above the neck.
The team was clearly excited to get the uniforms out there, as is evidenced by a tweet from Wednesday.
State-divided rivalry has huge implications for the CFP
It seems everyone in the state of Michigan is fired up for Saturday’s contest. Of course, they should be. Both teams are 7-0, and a win on Saturday would be huge for their postseason hopes.
Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has struggled to win the big games, so Saturday is a huge day for both the team and his personal reputation.
“There’s definitely the approach of one game at a time, which you need to do,” Harbaugh said. “But now we are in a situation. Huge game, in some ways that mindset is similar, but in other ways it definitely gets turned up a notch.”

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer even issued a special proclamation about the game and declared this week “Rivalry Week” in the state.
The winner of Saturday’s game controls their own destiny, while the loser will likely need some help to reach the Big Ten title game. Both teams still have games against Ohio State and Penn State on the calendar.
Michigan leads the series 71-37-5 all-time, but Michigan State has won six of the last 10 meetings. The game kicks off at noon ET on Fox. Michigan is a 4-point favorite as of Wednesday morning.
