2022 4-star defensive lineman Kenneth Grant commits to Michigan
Merrillville (Ind.) High four-star defensive lineman Kenneth Grant has committed to Michigan, announcing the news on his Twitter page Tuesday.
Grant chose the Wolverines over offers from fellow Big Ten rivals Ohio State and Wisconsin.
He had visited all three schools in the summer. Grant then visited the Wolverines on Sept. 11 for the team’s game against Washington.
The commitment is a huge boost to Michigan, which is in need of help on the defensive line. Grant will play in the interior of the defensive lineman as a nose guard and defensive tackle at the next level.

Grant told LettermanRow’s Zach Carpenter that Michigan defensive line coach Shaun Nua views the four-star recruit as someone who can play in both run and pass situations.
Grant is the 18th commit in Jim Harbaugh’s 2022 recruiting class, which features five recruits in the updated On300.
Four of those five recruits are defensive players, including Grosse Point (Mich.) South four-star cornerback Will Johnson, Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger EDGE Kevonte Henry lead the class and Tampa (Fla.) Gaither EDGE Mario Eugenio.
