2024 Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) four-star interior offensive lineman Jake Guarnera received an offer from Michigan on Sunday afternoon. He announced the news over social media.

Guarnera took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor on July 30. The 6-foot-4, 290 pound prospect is the No. 274 overall prospect and No. 20 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 44 player in Florida.

The Wolverines also offered Solana Beach (Calif.) Santa Fe Christian Schools three-star tight end Zack Marshall today. Numerous recruits are on Michigan’s campus for the BBQ at The Big House including 2024 Buford (Ga.) four-star EDGE KingJoseph Edwards.

Guarnera currently has 11 offers from programs including Michigan, Florida and Penn State. He has taken 23 unofficial visits so far. North Carolina State has received five of them, the most in Guarnera’s recruitment according to the On3 Visit Center.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Wolfpack a leading 39.2% chance to land Guarnera’s commitment. Florida State has the second-highest odds at 20.8%, while Florida has the next-best chance at 12.1%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
