4-star offensive tackle Andrew Sprague sets commitment date
Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst four-star offensive tackle Andrew Sprague is ready to make his college decision and will do so later this week.
On Tuesday, Sprague tweeted that he will commit this Friday, April 7.
He previously named his top 10 schools on March 23, a list that included LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford and USC.
Just a few days before his decision, one school has emerged as the heavy favorite to land his commitment.
Following a handful of recent expert predictions, Michigan is heavily favorite to land Sprague, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Per the the RPM, the Wolverines holds a 94.3% chance of securing his commitment.
“I put Michigan in my top 10 because of my relationship with Coach Moore, Harbaugh, and the rest of the staff,” Sprague told Hayes Fawcett regarding Michigan. “They won the Joe Moore Award 2 years in a row and I would love to be a part of winning that trophy.”
Michigan on recruiting roll in 2024
Michigan is off to a fast start with its 2024 recruiting class after finishing with a top-20 class in the last recruiting cycle.

The Wolverines signed 25 players last cycle and finished with the No. 18 class in the country and the No. 3 class in the Big Ten. While it was till a top-20 class, the 2023 group finished nine spots lower than the 2022 group.
Jim Harbaugh and Co. have turned things up a notch this cycle, though. The Wolverines’ class ranks as the No. 5 class in the country and the No. 2 class in the Big Ten in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
The class includes four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, four-star running back Jordan Marshall, four-star tight end Hogan Hansen, four-star safety Jacob Oden, four-star linebacker Mason Curtis, four-star interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, three-star defensive lineman Ted Hammond, three-star offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, three-star interior offensive lineman Manuel Beigel and three-star linebacker Zach Ludwig.
The Wolverines are also trending heavily for a handful of other top prospects, including four-star offensive tackle Blake Frazier, four-star linebacker Aaron Chiles, and four-star tight end Brady Prieskorn.
