4-star PG Jeremiah Fears cancels upcoming official visit to Michigan
Jeremiah Fears will no longer be visiting the University of Michigan after all.
After being scheduled to see the Wolverines in February, the 6-foot-3 four-star junior point guard will no longer be making the trip to Ann Arbor, a source told On3. The visit is not expected to be rescheduled and Fears plans to make announce his college commitment on Monday, January 22nd.
Fears, the No. 35 overall player in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings, announced his top 5 schools earlier this month. Joining the Wolverines on the list is Illinois, Providence, Kansas, and Ole Miss.
Illinois, Providence, and Tennesee (no longer being considered) have each hosted the Joliet, Illinois native on official visits over the last several months.
Fears talks finalists
Jeremiah Fears, the younger brother of Michigan State freshman guard Jeremy Fears, broke down each of his finalists in a previous interview with On3.
Illinois: “Illinois coaching staff did a pretty good job as well on the visit. The play style fits me and the guards have a crazy leash.”

Jeremiah Fears Scouting Report
“Jeremiah Fears is a compact and confident guard. He plays with a lot of burst, on both ends of the floor. Fears has a confident handle and uses his burst to get to his spots. He plays balanced with an ability to rise up and knock down shots at each level. He is more of a score first guard than a point guard. Fears is a good on ball defender at the point of attack. Some could question the size. There is an undeniable competitive fire in there. Fears is the younger brother of Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
