LOOK: Michigan football spotlights Ann Arbor being named best place to live

According to the experts of StudyFinds, the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan was voted the best place to live in the United States.

Ann Arbor will always be synonymous with the home of the Wolverines, hosting the University of Michigan‘s campus and rich history. A big part of that history is their athletics, and Michigan Football shared the announcement about their beloved city.

On Twitter Sunday, Michigan Football’s Twitter account boasted Ann Arbor’s status as the best place to live with a tweet. The account wrote, “No better place to call home!” followed by their signature Michigan emoji with a picture that features the announcement with a scenic view of Michigan Stadium.

There’s no question that the University of Michigan has a major impact on Ann Arbor, with the university employing around 30,000 workers and having a positive impact on the city’s economy. Michigan’s football program has a huge impact on the university and city as well, representing one of the most storied programs in the country that played their first game in 1879.

The Wolverines football program is thriving at the moment, fresh off of back-to-back seasons where they won the Big Ten Championship, beat rival Ohio State, and appearances in the College Football Playoffs. They’re one of the best teams in the country playing in the best city in the country, a combination that’s hard to find across the entire nation.

The Michigan Wolverines have defeated their bitter rivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes, in back-to-back seasons on the gridiron. And they won’t stop celebrating it. Quite frankly, you can’t blame them. Ohio State is annually one of the toughest college football teams in the country to face and Michigan took a beating from their rivals on the gridiron for nearly two decades, before finding their recent streak of dominance. To celebrate their win over Ohio State from the 2022 season, Michigan football unveiled a commemorative necklace.

Anything that celebrates beating Ohio State is going to be look pretty amazing for Michigan fans. No question about it. Since 2000, Michigan has only defeated Ohio State five times on the football field. The agony of losing all those games from 2012-2019 certainly makes the Wolverines’ run the past two years taste even sweeter.
