Blake Corum tells his NFL doubters to 'sit back and watch'
As good of a college running back as Blake Corum has been, there’s an argument to be made that he’s still underrated. Although he sits third in the nation in rush yards and second in rushing touchdowns, some believe that he may not be ready to play at an NFL level after his time at Michigan. In response, Corum says to enjoy the show.
Corum joined ‘Jalen & Jacoby’ on ESPN to talk about his NFL future. He said no amount of doubt is going to stop him from chasing his dream as it’s all just extra gas on his fire.

“Sit back and watch, man. Sit back and watch. I’ve been getting it my whole life. I don’t care what naysayers say. At the end of the day, I’m a man with a dream and nothing’s gonna stop me from chasing that dream and reaching that dream,” said Corum. “I know what it takes. I’m willing to work harder than anyone. Like I said, just sit back and watch. They’re just talking. They’re just talking because they want to be in the position I’m in. Let them keep talking. It’s just fuel to the fire.”

Corum has been the engine for the Wolverine offense in 2022. While they spent a handful of games determining who could play QB, Corum has been their rock from the opening kick. He has rushed for 735 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this season.
A lot of the doubt comes from his stature at 5’8 as well as the Wolverine’s heavy focus on the run game that pads his stats. For Corum, though, it’s all noise. He just wants to put his nose to the grindstone and let the results speak for himself. He knows there won’t be as much hesitancy about him once he makes the transition from Saturdays to Sundays.
