Brady Prieskorn injury: Michigan TE carted off after going down in pregame warmups

Michigan tight end Brady Prieskorn had to be carted off the field during pregame warmups ahead of The Game against Ohio State.

Prieskorn appears to have suffered a leg injury ahead of kickoff. It’s unclear the severity of the injury as of this report, and whether or not the cart was just a precautionary measure.

The 6 foot 6, 245-point Lake Orion native has not logged any stats for the Wolverines during his true freshman season.

Before arriving on campus, Prieskorn was one of the most highly-touted tight ends at the high school ranks. As a four-star recruit, Prieskorn was the No. 150 player in the class of 2024 according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

The injury comes following the news that the Wolverines will be without two of its biggest stars in CB Will Johnson and fellow TE Colston Loveland. Loveland left at halftime of Michigan’s 50-6 win over Northwestern last week with an undisclosed injury. Johnson’s missed the last five games for the Wolverines due to turf toe.

Michigan is only 6-5 this season and fighting for a better bowl game. An upset would be monumental toward that effort in an already emotional game.

“I don’t know about an emotional tax,” head coach Sherrone Moore said previewing The Game. “It’s fun. It’s everything you want to be when you grow up as a kid, whether you want to be a coach, whether you want to be a player, this is what you want to do, you want to be in these types of games, so it’s awesome to be a part of.

“It’s a lot of work. It’s something you think about all year and it’s an exciting time for us.”

Kickoff is set for Noon ET live on FOX from inside Ohio Stadium.
