Cade McNamara will forever have a legacy at Michigan. He’ll always be known as the quarterback who finally took down Ohio State — who helped Michigan accomplish the best moment of the Jim Harbaugh era.

With fans storming the field and snow falling from the sky, McNamara might as well have been in a Hollywood movie. After the victory, FOX’s Jenny Taft caught up with the Michigan quarterback.

“I don’t think there are any words,” a speechless McNamara stated. “I think we’ve been saying all year this team is different. Today we proved that.

“It’s been an accumulation of everything that we’ve put in. The seniors that have been here for so long. The dudes that committed. The coaches that committed. To make this place different .. and it is.”

McNamara quarterbacked the offense, but running back Hassan Haskins provided the scoring. The senior starred — scoring five touchdowns. Evidently, McNamara was thankful for Haskins’ performance.

“Hassan Haskins is a beast,” stated McNamara. “The O-line had a great day today. Just straight over-powered Ohio State’s D-line. We have a drill that’s called Beat Ohio. And that’s why we do it right there.”

In total, Haskins rushed the ball 28 times for 168 yards and five touchdowns. After watching Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III run all over the Wolverines earlier this season, Haskins ran all over the Buckeyes.

McNamara: ‘It’s everything I’ve dreamed of.”

Furthermore, a star-struck McNamara felt like he was in a dreamscape post-game.

“It’s everything I’ve dreamed of,” revealed McNamara. “This is everything that every guy who’s committed to Michigan over the last five years — this is why they come. To be here today. I’m just happy we were able to do it.”

While Michigan will enjoy today’s victory, a date at the Big Ten Championship Game is on the horizon. No worries though — McNamara stated his team will be ready.

“We’re fired up to play next week,” said McNamara. “We’ll be prepared.”

Jim Harbaugh, Cade McNamara and Michigan finally are past Ohio State. Now, their destiny is in-front of them — it could be an all-time season for the maize and blue.
