Connor Stalions was the most popular name in college football last season, being right in the middle of Michigan‘s sign-stealing scandal. He is no longer with the program and has opened up about the situation with media appearances, a documentary included. His latest was with Barstool’s Bussin’ With the Boys, covering an array of topics.

One question to Stalions was asked about his biggest enemy, having an answer anyone who has followed the story might expect — Ohio State head coach Ryan Day.

“It’s got to be Ryan Day,” Stalions said.

This might be the answer for most Michigan fans. Day just happens to be the Ohio State head coach at the moment and if somebody else was running the show in Columbus, they might be their biggest enemy. Urban Meyer was not too popular during his days with the Buckeyes and even when he returned to Ann Arbor with FOX earlier in the season.

But Stalions might have a little extra something with Day due to the vitriol of the rivalry recently and the entire Michigan sign-stealing process.

Outside of anybody associated with Ohio State, Stalions named the in-state rival Michigan State Spartans as his next biggest enemy. Not anything to do with their head coach but just the program in general.

“I’m not a fan of Michigan State,” Stalions said. “I got nothing against Jonathan Smith. He’s their new head coach. I mean, it was Mel Tucker, before that Mark Dantonio… I respect him (Dantonio), not a fan.”

Stalions, along with Bussin’ With the Boys host Taylor Lewan, claim to “hate” Michigan State more than Ohio State. The in-state rivalry adds a little more juice, especially since Stalions was born in the state of Michigan. Being surrounded by Spartan fans adds an edge to the rivalry.

However, regarding who is Stalions’ personal enemy No. 1? There is no doubt about who the answer is. Day is the easy answer for him after what’s transpired over the past year.
